Q: How do I get the password for VLE/Email/SMHW reset?

Student Accounts

VLE or School Email - To get a student password reset for the VLE or School Email (the same one works for both), a parent must contact IT Services (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) using an email address you have registered with the school.

SMHW - To reset a student password for SMHW, students can use the "Forgot Password?" link on the login page. This sends an email to the address registered with their account. This will either be their school email or their personal email. This can be changed within the account settings. Alternatively, contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Parent Accounts

Parents should be able to reset passwords using the Forgotten Password features of the VLE or SMHW. If you are still having problems, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.


Summary:

Student email/VLE - contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Everything else - contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., if you cannot resolve the issue yourself.


Q: We don't have a printer at home.

A: There is no need to print anything.

Q: Can I switch off notifications on Show My Homework?

Q:  Are there arrangements for students to get feedback on their work?

A:  We are working on this, and more information will be shared after Easter break, please bear with us.

Q: My year 6 student is joining Wallingford School in September, when will we receive some more information?

A: We've not forgotten you and we’re looking forward to meeting you all.  More information will be coming out, but please bear with us for now.  We’ll update you when we have a better idea of how the timeline will be.

Q: My son/daughter needs to email their teacher; how can they find the right email address?

A: Students can pick up staff email addresses from their school email account, they just need to type in their teacher’s name, and it will come up.

Q: I've been using the Show My Homework app, but now want to use the web site - what are my username and password?

A: You can use the email address registered with SMHW as your username. Download the document below to learn where you can see what that is, as well as how to reset your password using the app.

Q: What is happening about planned trips & refunds for those not going ahead?

A: At the moment we have cancelled trips up until May half term.   We will be making a decision on the trips scheduled in June and July after the Easter break, when we hope to have more information from the government.

We have begun to refund money paid for school trips but are bound by the process that ParentPay are using. Due to the large volume of refunds being processed by ParentPay this is taking a longer time than normal.  If you have specific queries about trips, please get in touch;  This email address is being protected from spambots.
