Having just finished our last day of the first week back for Year 10, as a school, we are delighted with a number of aspects. The attendance has been outstanding, the behaviour, in such unusual circumstances, has been impeccable and the atmosphere has been really productive. It appears, quite clearly, that the students were all very eager to be taught in a formal setting again.

Linked to this eagerness I wanted to also reiterate that whilst we would welcome having Year 10 students in more than 1 day a week, we are still following government guidelines which states we can only have 25% of our total Year 10 and 12 cohort at any one point.

I would also like to reinforce the procedures that have been put into place for the smooth and safe running of the day. As part of this, all students that have been in school this week have received the guidelines for conduct both in and out lessons. I am delighted to say they have followed these perfectly. It is vital that this continues next week and for the following weeks thereafter.

I would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding as we try to get back to some form of normality.

Yours Sincerely

Mr R Lyons
