There has been a really interesting series of assemblies this week on The Ripple Effect with the moving story of what donating 5p led to; as ever with assemblies, I won’t give too much away but please do ask at home as there was plenty to reflect upon.

In the final full week of term Christmas has been coming into sight with a superb music concert last night and an ongoing range of activities including the traditional Christmas tree door decorating competitions and the new Xmas cracker competition. A reminder that the last day of term will be a Christmas-themed non-uniform day. If possible we are hoping that families will be able to donate £1 through our Just Giving page to support local charity Style Acre which was nominated by our Sixth Form Student Leadership team as their choice of a group which has a real impact in our area.

Also during this week House matches have been highly competitive – and great fun – and there has certainly been some talent identified in the House Talent Shows with the grand final at lunchtime today. And our Year 11 students have been working tremendously hard on their mock examinations with every adult connected with them – most notably our team of invigilators – commending them for their focus and conduct.

Finally, we look forward to next week’s half-week with Christmas lunch, pantomime, skating, bowling and the Sixth Form Christmas Ball all taking place before our final whole school assembly to conclude the term.
