Enrichment Benchmarks

The Enrichment Benchmarks provide a structured approach for schools to evaluate their enrichment offerings and make improvements. These benchmarks are designed to ensure that enrichment activities are broad varied and aligned with the school's values and curriculum.

The benchmarks include:

• Strategically aligned enrichment offer: ensures that the enrichment activities are part of the school's broader priorities and are well communicated.
• Broad and well-rounded enrichment offer: covers all five categories: arts, sport, nature, civic life and life skills.
• Well-communicated offer that celebrates participation and achievement: recognises participation and achievement through awards, certificates and personal development schemes.
• Offer shaped by the school community: involves pupil voice parent and staff feedback and supports pupils in leading activities.

These benchmarks are part of the Enrichment Framework for Schools which is non-statutory guidance to support schools in England in planning strengthening and reviewing their enrichment offer.
