Sixth form students reading an A Level Maths book.Application Process

Students should complete a sixth form application form, which is available at the main school office or on our website: www.wallingfordschool.com/index.php/admissions/sixth-form

There will be a chance to meet with the Head of Sixth Form or another senior member of staff for a short ‘guidance interview’. Letters of confirmation and offers will be sent out around May 2020. Applicants should attend our sixth form taster days which take place in June 2020. Finally, applicants should confirm their place on GCSE results day (Thursday 20th August) or at our options clinic (Friday 21st August).

Eligibility for Submitting an Application

All KS4 students, irrespective of previous school, location, personal circumstances or background, are welcome to apply for a place at Wallingford Sixth Form. We do not turn students away and work on the basis that there is a place in sixth form for everyone, if they believe it is the right place for them. We set entry requirements for sixth form courses to ensure that students have a fair chance of success whilst they are with us – students should complete qualifications that will allow them to move on to a positive destination after sixth form.
