Artwork by Neive Busby, Year 11And now, it's the end of the school year, and so we face the final newsletter (until Christmas). It's been a busy two terms of a busy year - we're quite sure the students will be too exhausted to do anything but rest over the holidays.

Already looking ahead to next term (who isn't?!), the student leaders share their plans for House competitions, Peer Supporters and PSHE. Also thinking of the future, we have reports from various careers events held at the school, thanks to Mrs Ward our Careers Adviser. And Mrs Hammond has some Bunkfest dates for your musical diary.

Events? We've had a few - Kew Gardens, Year 9 Residential, Sports Day - you'll find plenty of photos inside. There's a couple of wunderbar reports from the German Exchange, where we learn fantastic scenery and great educational experiences are just the icing on the kuchen of new friendships. The Art Department feels there's Never Enough art, and the cure is an exhibition they held earlier this term to great acclaim. Still in the Art Department, 6th former Poppy shares some of her A Level project ideas, and we celebrate the success of students in UK Maths Challenges and after-school Latin, et cetera.

Outside the classroom altogether, we hear from Beatrice, Florentina and Matt as they perform, ride and skydive their way to amazing experiences. You'll be bowled over to learn our exams officer, Mrs Meardon, leads a double life as a professional cricket scorer. Hear how she got into this field, where no point is silly, in an interview by Greg in Year 9. And the DT teachers share some of the Design and Technology marvels that impress them.

House captains have loved, laughed and cried. They've had their fill (of cakes from bake-off competitions) and their share of losing (and winning). You can read all about it in their regular columns. And find out which House is the overall Champion 2023!

We also have the latest newsletter from Oxford Health:
