Sunday 11th November 2018, 2.30pm

Tickets: £10-£28

Students from Wallingford School will be joining schools from across the country to perform at a Remembrance Concert at Birmingham Symphony Hall - widely considered one of the finest concert halls in the world on Sunday 11th November 2018 to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War I.

The Remembrance Concert will include musical performances from Wallingford School as well as readings from students. The distant sound of gunshot, photographs of soldiers and communities from WWI as well as a poignant shower of poppies will set the scene as generations come together to help mark the end of the first World War. Musicians will also perform an extract from "The Armed Man" by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins, subtitled "A Mass for Peace" as the concert honours the messages of remembrance and hope. The concert will culminate in an extraordinary combined choir and orchestra performance of Mozart's Requiem, one of the most famous choral works in the classical repertoire.
