Year 9 Options Evening will take place on Wednesday 4th February 2026. Our online ‘options form’ will be available from this date. Below you can find our options booklet, which provides details about the process and all KS4 subjects.
Subject Combinations: We know that some students would like to choose two very similar subjects. We tend to guide students away from taking subjects that are very similar as it can narrow options at a later stage.
It is not possible for students to take both:
- Resistant Materials and Product Design
- Music and Music Technology
For the following subject combinations, taking both courses is possible, but it is important to consider whether this combination would reduce the breadth of skills / content covered overall, compared to a choice of more varied subjects:
- Art and Photography
- Computer Science and IT
