One of the highlights of the year is the annual Ninja Warrior competition and the opening round took place on Wednesday lunchtime. It is a great event and it was particularly impressive to see so many of our Year 7 students taking part and having really good fun. We roll on with the final today.
The lighter evenings have brought more sports fixtures and practices and it is always a pleasure to walk down to the field or netball courts or astroturf after school to see them in action. This week has been no exception with a fantastic Netball tournament against other local schools on Tuesday and a Sixth Form football match on Wednesday amongst the highlights.
We have a lot of House events going on at the moment. To mark World Book Day, the Title Quest Challenge has again been very enthusiastically pursued with students particularly keen to discover which staff had been allocated “star” status in addition to the book they are currently reading. We also have a very interesting addition to the House events calendar coming up with the new Easter-themed Historical Eggs Competition – more to follow but it should be very interesting indeed.
A reminder that our annual parent and carer survey is open until Monday 11th March and we are really keen to hear the views of as many of our families as possible on all aspects of school life. As I wrote last week, if you can take the time to complete the survey it is very much appreciated so that we can form as accurate a view as possible and use this to inform our planning moving forward.
