The exam season is kicking in as are the Leavers’ Celebration Days, with Year 13 in fancy dress last Friday and Year 11 donning their outfits today followed by this evening’s Prom. Lots going on for both year groups and the mix of fun, hard work and support feels right but, as ever, communication between school and home is key and please do not hesitate to get in touch if there are worries or concerns about any aspect of the public exams.
Equally an awful lot going on with other year groups, with Year 8 working very hard (and impressively) in their assessments, a Year 10 Stars visit to Wembley stadium, girls’ and boys’ Rugby tournaments at the Hithercroft, Year 12 Biologists out and about locally, and the return of the very popular Inter-House lunchtime football tournament.
The life of the school rolls on and we are already preparing for the new Year 7 cohort who join us in September. Open Mornings start next Wednesday for families with children currently in Year 5.
A school community never stands still and keeps moving by definition – it’s exciting, thrilling, occasionally tiring but always a joy to be a part of.
