We have had House assemblies this week which have been a lot of fun. There has been use of AI, competitions to count peas, a lot of encouragement, cheers and awards, humour and rivalry and a great atmosphere in every single one. In terms of activities, Thursday was House Technology Day with the Recycled Robots competition and the Inter House lunchtime football competition over the week has been great fun and played in a wonderful spirit.
Beyond the Houses, it’s been a typically busy week. Public examinations have rolled on and everyone is focused and working hard; our Year 10 Geographers have been on the south coast conducting field work; the Year 9 D of E cohort were out and about over the weekend on their Bronze Award expedition; and there has been lots of sport, in particular Athletics at Tilsley Park.
We now pause for breath for a week and come back to do it all again in the final two months of the academic year.
