Thankyou to everyone who took the time to complete our annual Parent and Carer Survey. As ever, the data and comments are very helpful in supporting us to reflect on our provision as a school and areas for future development.

Thankyou also to everyone who added comments to the survey. As usual, they were varied, insightful and covered the breadth of school life. There were a huge amount of positives, praise and thankyous and also some really constructive thoughts as to things we could work on and improve.

Common areas for development included:

  • Communication: there were comments about navigating platforms such as Satchel and Edulink, more information and communication about the curriculum and aspects of student progress would be helpful and also contact information for questions and queries regarding certain aspects of school life.
  • The Scholars’ Programme: further communication about its rationale and purpose would be appreciated and also its direction as trips and visits become less frequent and the focus is on stretch and challenge in the classroom.
  • Access to trips and visits: our trips and visits offer is popular and opportunities are often oversubscribed – further information would be appreciated as to how criteria work in these circumstances to ensure fairness and equity for all.

We will continue to work on these areas and much more to ensure that all of our young people have the very best experience of Wallingford School.
