On Tuesday 4th October, Wallingford School arranged for some regiments from The Army to come and speak to students about their Careers. The event took place at lunchtime and was very lively with many students from Year 9 to Year 13 in attendance.
There were several Regiments represented, these included the Parachute Regiment, the Royal Logistics Corps, and the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. There were opportunities to use Virtual Reality Headsets to experience Army life, as well as asking questions about careers. There was also an activity to test hand/eye co-ordination, which definitely highlighted the competitive nature of Wallingford students and staff. It was a very useful and informative event, and we look forward to repeating this again next year.
