After a long journey, we arrived in York and headed straight out to a workshop on Viking battle tactics followed by a visit to the JORVIK Viking Centre @jorvikviking. The students asked some fascinating questions including, how have Viking’s influenced modern day York? When we see Vikings in films and TV, what are myths and what are reality? And, was Viking economy susceptible to rising inflation?!

After dinner, we went on a walking ghost tour of York and heard the spooky tales from York’s 2000 year history!
